What You Need To Know

As of July 1st 2026, District 14 and District 58 will merge and become District 213.The District Transition Committee (DTC) is responsible for guiding the formation of District 213 by communicating clearly with members, coordinating the logistics behind the District Elections, and assessing current district practices, policies, and events to develop recommendations for District 213. The recommendations will be delivered to the 2026-27 District 213 Leadership Team as they decide the path for The Rise of District 213.For clubs, this transition does not change who you are or how you operate, clubs will be business as usual. In District 213 clubs may shift under different Areas and/or Divisions. The District Alignment Committee (DAC), led by Malvery Williams, DTM, is responsible for the realignment of Areas and Divisions. The realignment will be communicated to both District 14 and 58 on their respective websites NLT APR 6.In April and May, following District Elections, the newly elected 2026–27 District 213 Leadership Team (Trio Elect) will:1. Review the DTC’s Future State Recommendations
2. Work with the committee on any needed adjustments
The Trio Elect will finalize the District Plan in June. This will enable District 213 to launch with clarity and continuity on July 1st.

Merging With Excellence
(and Intention)

The DTC is working diligently to document the current ways of working from both Districts 14 and 58. We will develop the best of class recommendations across all of the functional areas so that the District 213 Leadership Team can make informed decisions as they take office.By design, the DTC has equal representation from both Districts 14 and 58. There are 2 District Liaisons and a District 14 and District 58 Co-Lead for each of the following areas:

  • PR / COMMS

  • DISTRICT EVENTS

  • FINANCE

  • ASSETS

  • COMPLIANCE

  • RECOGNITION & AWARDS

  • TECHNOLOGY

We are committed to bringing the best of both districts into District 213. Find out how we are taking this merger seriously and with intention: Learn more about the DTC Team in our Meet the DTC Team Section.

Election Fairness

We are committed to a fair election cycle.Candidates Nominated by the District Leadership Committee (DLC) will be presented to District 14 and 58 at one unified Candidate Showcase. The Candidate Showcase will be virtual to ensure accessibility for all, regardless of location. In addition, members will have the opportunity to submit questions for the candidates to the District Leadership Committee Chair PRIOR to the Showcase. The DLC Chair is the Candidate Showcase moderator. Questions may not be submitted during the Showcase. The session will be recorded and available for replay.

Candidates not initially nominated will have the opportunity to Run from the Floor provided they meet all deadlines and requirements. Members interested in running from the floor must contact the DLC Chair and follow all procedural requirements: Dwight Jones, DTM, [email protected].The Election will be moderated by Lark Doley, DTM, Past International President.

It is my distinct pleasure to partner with the District 213 Transition Committees as we move into this next chapter of merging Districts 14 and 58 into one unified District 213. We are working hard to ensure a smooth and transparent transition.

The objective of the Transition Committee is to lead and implement a successful transition for the newly realigned District ensuring all tasks are completed by the transition deadline and the newly realigned District is fully operational with no major disruptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will the awards our members earned in District 14 and 58 be treated once we transition to District 213?Any education awards earned by a member and approved by their club will not be loss due to any new district affiliation. An award earned in Pathways is tied to a member's individual profile, and they can continue their progress in any club or district they join without fear of losing their earned awards.Any awards approved by a club will also remain on that club's record, regardless of which district they are affiliated with.Historically, the only time members may have experienced a loss of Pathways progress was when Toastmasters International upgraded the Learning Management System that Base Camp was hosted on in October 2024. In the prior system, education awards needed two-step approval inside Base Camp and Club Central. If club officers did not approve the level in both areas, members did not earn proper credit at the time and found that their levels showed reversed after the October 2024 update. That is no longer a concern in the current Base Camp system since Pathways awards only need one approval in Base Camp. Now when an award is earned, a member will not lose this progress.

Why are Districts 14 and 58 merging to District 213?Toastmasters International increased the minimum size of a District form 60 Clubs to 100 clubs effective July 1, 2026. 76 Districts across Toastmasters are getting realigned to form 43 Newly Realigned Districts with on average 150 Clubs.

How will I be able to meet the Candidates for D213 Leadership Positions?
Members will have the opportunity to virtually watch and listen to nominated candidates at the Candidate Showcase. Candidates will not be campaigning at District Conferences to ensure equitable reach and access.

When will I know who the 2026-2027 D213 Candidates will be?Nominations will be posted on the District 14 and 58 Websites NLT APR 6th. In addition, there will be a Virtual Candidate Showcase streamed via ZOOM on Apr 18th.

I have questions I want to ask the nominated candidates - will I be able to ask them during the showcase? No. Only the moderator will be engaging with the candidates during the showcase. However, your voice and your concerns matter in this election cycle and you have the opportunity to submit questions for the showcase - eee the Submit Candidate Questions Here Button below. To manage timing and coordination, all questions for the candidates need to submitted to the showcase moderator and DLC Chair NLT 5 days before the election.

Am I able to attend both D14 and D58 Spring Conferences?
Yes. All members of D14 and D58 are welcome to register and attend each other's Spring Conference. What a great way to meet future D213 Toastmasters. Please see the respective District Websites for Conference Registration Information.
